Job Summary:
You can make a real difference in your life and our residents' lives. The Barron Center is a 200+ bed long-term care facility with an excellent reputation for a caring, creative work environment. We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team who want to make a difference in their community and our residents' lives. Our Nutrition Services department has opportunities available for general kitchen support.

Duties & Responsibilities: This role involves preparing and serving meals to residents. You will assist with food preparation, maintain kitchen sanitation standards, and ensure food safety. Team members are expected to follow established meal schedules and work effectively with kitchen staff to support daily operations.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions


Preferred Skills & Experience:

High school completion and prior experience preferred, or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements:

  • Must possess valid Maine Class C driver's license
  • Up-to-date immunization records are required for all Barron Center staff
  • An annual flu vaccine is required
  • A pre placement physical is required


Expected Hours/Schedule:

This is a full time, 37.5 hours per week position. Schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, including rotating holidays, 6:45am-2:45pm.

Salary & Benefits:

This is a union position, CEBA Grade 1M, with a starting pay range of $19.09-$21.23 per hour, based on relevant years of experience.
