Job Summary:
This is routine manual and clerical work in the inventory, delivery, and stocking of food and other miscellaneous items. The Nutritional Services Storekeeper is responsible for accuracy and promptness in replenishing snacks and beverages on the units and will work with the Director of Nutrition to keep inventory of items brought to the units and to monitor usage.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensure that each unit is stocked with snacks and beverages for the residents.
Responsible for preparing and stocking comfort carts for residents' families.
Responsible for filling and maintaining snack levels in the vending machines in the cafeteria.
Reports to supervisor receipt of supplies that are damaged or do not meet specifications as well as any shortages of original order.
Unpacks and stores all supplies and equipment efficiently and accurately.
Fills and delivers food products to unit kitchens.
May assist with cleaning and organizing food supply areas in accordance with Federal and State and City Health codes.
Informs supervisor of oversupply or undersupply of items, and helps prepare a list of items that need to be purchased.
May perform duties of a Support Team Worker as directed, and other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
Must possess a valid Maine driver's license.
High school graduate or equivalent with previous storekeeper experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the following knowledges, abilities, and skills.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Ability to follow oral and written directions.
Ability to make simple mathematical calculations, and basic computer skills.
Ability to interpret specifications on purchase orders and invoices.
Ability to push or lift heavy loads using correct ergonomic guidelines.
Ability to work in different temperature zones; i.e. heat and extreme cold.
Ability to drive cargo trucks to deliver items to other buildings on and off campus.
Expected Hours/Schedule:
This is a part time, 18.75 hour per week position

Salary & Benefits:
This is a union position, CEBA (Grade 5), with a pay range starting at $19.53/hour.
