City of Portland - Customer Service Representative

Parking Division

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Parking Division! This role will be responsible for greeting customers from diverse backgrounds, providing directions and information.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The work day is divided into several different categories including:

Communicating on a two-way radio with field personnel
Answering multiple phone lines
Issuing permits
Accepting and reconciling cash, check, and credit card payments while maintaining reports from the database
Performing data entry of parking tickets and permits.

Required Skills & Experience:

Excellent customer service and data entry skills.
Experience answering phones in a work setting with multiple distractions, including operating a two-way radio.
Excellent computer skills including recent working knowledge of Word and Excel.

Expected Hours/Schedule:

Full-Time (37.5 hours/week); Monday - Friday; 10:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Salary & Benefits:

This is a union position - CEBA (Grade 10) - Salary range starting at $22.32/hour.
