Up to a $2,000 Sign On Bonus available to an external candidate.
The Department of Public Works is seeking a highly motivated individual to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Schedule will be Monday thru Friday. Must be organized, personable, detail-oriented and able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and be committed to being a team player. Looking for strong computer skills including proficiency with Google Suite based programs, excellent customer service skills, must be able to work with confidential information in a discreet manner and must be willing to cover for Street Openings staff while on vacation and breaks, payroll experience is definitely desired.
Requirements:
Working knowledge of and ability to use accounting and auditing principles, methods and procedures in working with numerous accounts.
Working knowledge of Munis based system and other applicable software accounting systems.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
Ability to operate calculator and personal computer and working knowledge of spreadsheets and Access database software.
Training and Experience Desired:
Experience in general accounting and bookkeeping work.
Graduation from a four-year high school, supplemented by two years of college or university training in accounting, or any equivalent combination or experience and training.

Salary & Benefits:
This is a union position, CEBA (Grade 13) - Salary range starting at: $24.44/hr.
