City of Portland - Airport Facilities Manager

Job Summary:

The Portland International Jetport is seeking a highly motivated individual for the Engineering and Facilities Department. Under the direction of the Deputy Director, this position will assist in the oversight of Airport Facilities at the Portland International Jetport.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management of all Jetport facilities team members and departmental functions, including the construction and care for all mechanical, plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems of the airport and terminal buildings and facilities equipment
Create and maintain a Jetport preventative maintenance program, maintain and improve the asset management database within the existing CMMS
Work order prioritization, review and close-out completed work orders, analyze workload and prioritize assignments and optimize for employee schedules in accordance with the AFSCME collective bargaining agreements to ensure the building is maintained, and provide technical assistance to subordinates.

Required Skills & Experience:

Relevant Bachelor's Degree such as Construction Project Management from an accredited four-year college/university OR combination of relevant technical education, certifications (electrical/HVAC/plumbing) and 8+ years of related supervisory experience directly related to construction management, facilities management, and project management may be substituted in lieu of educational requirement
Working knowledge of current operational best practices and procedures for the preparation, repair, maintenance, and modifications of various mechanical and electrical systems as required.
Must hold and maintain a valid Class C Driver's License.
Successful completion of criminal background check, driving record check and TSA/FBI Criminal Background Check in accordance with TSR Part 1542 to acquire and maintain an airport access security badge.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Large facility specific management and construction experience.
Knowledge of the current materials, methods, tools, and equipment used in journeyman-level building trades (painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC), and custodial maintenance.

Expected Hours/Schedule:

Currently hours are Monday - Friday, 5 days a week, from 7:00AM-3:30PM, subject to Jetport facility needs.

Salary & Benefits:

This is a City of Portland, full-time (37.5 hours/week) fully benefited non-union position - Grade C45, with an annual starting salary range of $86,460 to $97,331.00, depending upon qualifications and experience. Sign on bonus of $1,500 and relocation reimbursement up to $2500 available for qualified, external candidates.
