Job Summary:

The Portland International Jetport (PWM) is seeking an intern to join our team for the 2026 summer season. The selected candidate will gain experience, insight, and exposure to a variety of municipal airport operations and aviation administration at Maine's largest airport. This internship will engage with all levels of stakeholders across the many facets of airport management. Successful candidates will be open to new experiences, including indoor and outdoor work as well as able to professionally navigate highly regulated environments.

Required Skills & Experience:

Currently enrolled in an accredited institution of higher education, majoring in Aviation Administration, Airport Management, Tourism, Hospitality, or other related degree with the intended focus of working in aviation/airport management.
A valid Class C driver's license is required.
Must be able to pass a TSA/FBI background check to possess an airport SIDA badge.
Be familiar with Microsoft Office, and Google environment software such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Docs, Slides, and Sheets.
Proficient at public speaking while representing the airport to customers and stakeholders.
Candidates should have strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills as well as excellent communications skills, both orally and written.
Some offsite travel may be required.

Expected Hours/Schedule/Pay Rate:

This is a paid, ten-week internship, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8 am-4:30 pm, with one hour unpaid for lunch.
Pay rate is: $24.88 per hour.
