City of Portland - Airport Maintenance Supervisor

Aviation & Transportation Department

The Portland International Jetport is seeking to fill two positions, a first shift and second shift Maintenance Supervisor. We are seeking motivated leaders to join our team! This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of Maine's largest airport and make a difference every day by keeping our operations running smoothly.

What You'll Do:

Lead and mentor a talented team of Airport Maintenance Workers
Oversee maintenance tasks on everything from airport buildings to runways, both airside and landside
Schedule, inspect, and ensure high-quality work while keeping safety a top priority
Work closely with other airport divisions to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

What We're Looking For:

A strong background in heavy equipment and construction
Ability to pass a physical assessment (cardio, strength, flexibility, vision, and hearing)
Successful completion of TSA background check (TSR Part 1542) and a federally mandated drug test
Valid Maine Class B driver's license or ability to obtain within 12-months of hire, paid for by PWM

Salary & Benefits:

AFSCME Supervisors union position – Grade 28M - Starting at $30.91/hour ($.55 differential per hour for 2nd shift). Positions are overtime eligible.
Candidates may qualify for a higher starting salary based on prior experience.
